MHK unhappy over tuition fee silence

Rushen MHK Phil Gawne says he’s angry he wasn’t allowed the chance to speak in the debate on tuition fees in Tynwald this week.

Mr Gawne had a speech prepared and was about to address the court when a motion from other members effectively ended the arguments and moved the issue straight to a vote.

He says the issue was too important to cut short and suspects members were tired towards the end of the sitting.

Mr Gawne says he had plenty to say:
