Cancer awareness in a bitesize bulletin

by isleofman.com 25th February 2013

Isle of Man Anti-Cancer Association are working in conjunction with Manx Radio to bring a new bitesize feature about the signs and symptoms of cancer, on the first Thursday of every month.

The short feature will cover a different topic each month; providing key information about the signs and symptoms of particular cancer types, screening, and ways of reducing the risk of developing cancer.

The feature is part of The Late Show with Ben Hartley on the first Thursday of every month at 10.30pm.

Malcolm Clague, President of Isle of Man Anti-Cancer Association, tells us more:

“We are very grateful to Manx Radio for this opportunity to spread the word and raise awareness of cancer, its signs and symptoms. We will be working with our partner organisations, working in various cancer related areas, to bring you essential information about a range of different cancer types.”

On Thursday 7th March, we will be discussing the signs and symptoms of bowel cancer, and the importance of bowel cancer screening.

Don’t worry, if you’ve missed this month’s feature, you can always ‘listen again’ via the Manx Radio website. To find out more about the topic for this month or for a link to the Manx Radio ‘listen again’ webpage, please visit www.iomaca.org.im.
