Steve and Allison were delighted to receive a ‘golden apple’ as a small memento of their very generous support of Hospice Isle of Man and in particular Oskar’s Dreams. The apple is attached to a silver steel Tree of Appreciation. This tree will recognise donations of over ?1,000 and was launched in January to mark 30 years of Hospice and to show the charity’s appreciation for donations of varying price ranges from this year onwards. The Tree of Appreciation is located in Elaine’s Coffee shop in The Scholl Centre at Hospice.
One of the main events that Steve and Allison were involved with Oskar’s Dreams was their hugely successful St Patrick’s Day event which is now an annual event for Hospice. This year’s event is on Friday 15th March and is a golf day and dinner.
Heath, in his dual capacity as representing Hospice Isle of Man as a Board of Governor and Chairman of Oskar’s Dream, thanked Steve and Allison for their continuing and significant contribution to both local causes. Indeed SMP Partners have just nominated Hospice Isle of Man and Alzheimers Society (Isle of Man Branch) for 2013.
A Golden apple is for donations over ?50,000. Heath added: “I would personally like to thank Steve and Allison for their continuing support of both Oskar’s Dreams and Hospice Isle of Man – their support of these 2 charities is very significant and it was felt this should be recognised in some way.” The Tree of Appreciation’s costs were covered by a generous donation by Mr and Mrs Watterson.
