Promotion chase hots up

A goal in each half from Graham Kennish and Jamie Brew ensured Ramsey Youth Centre closed the gap on leaders Michael in JCK Division Two on Saturday.

They secured a 2-0 win at battling Douglas Athletic.

Colby also kept up their promotion chase against another spirited side.

A Jack Snidal double ensured they won 2-1 at Douglas and District, for whom Richard Sparks scored.

Braddan and Ayre United shared the spoils at Victoria Road with Will Smith scoring the Braddan goal.

Malew produced a surprise after goals from Ben Cromwell and Dean Kinley sealed a 2-1 success at Foxdale, for whom Craig Gelling netted.

Kraig Marsh, Mark Reece, an own goal, Mark O’Neil and Greg Taylor were on the scoresheet as Onchan thrashed Ronaldsway 5-0.
