FA bides time over alleged assault action

The vice-president of the Football Association says all facts will be assessed before it decides what sanctions to impose following Saturday’s controversial Premier League football match.

Ramsey police have launched an investigation after alleged assaults during and immediately after the game between Laxey and St John’s.

Two players sustained facial injuries as a result.

Tony Mepham says the FA will await the referee’s report and the ongoing police inquiry before making its next move:
