A 35 year-old Douglas man was found dead in a car park surrounded by drug paraphernalia, an inquest has been told.

The body of Jamie Edward Collinson was discovered in the men's toilets at Shaw's Brow car Park in Douglas 10 days ago.

An inquest at Douglas courthouse this morning (Thursday), heard how Mr Collinson was found by police in a collapsed state at 4pm on February the 24th, with a syringe and drug equipment alongside him.

Coroner of Inquests John Needham said he was awaiting toxicology results to establish the cause of the death so adjourned the hearing and allowed the body to be released so funeral arrangements can be made.

He offered condolences to Mr Collinson’s family.
