The fate of a foreign tug which found a safe haven in Douglas remains a mystery.
Pride of Juliet 2 was rescued by Port St Mary lifeboat in December after getting into difficulties in Manx waters.
She spent two months tied up in Douglas harbour - her Georgian crew stranded thousands of miles from home, without food or money.
Local firms and charities stepped in to help, and last month the former MoD tug - owned by a Nigerian oil trader - set sail for Newlyn in Cornwall for repairs.
But there, along with a sister ship, the vessel was detained by the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency, condemned as unseaworthy.
Last weekend, the boats slipped from detention and are thought to be en route to west Africa
There are concerns for their crews' safety but Director of Isle of Man Ship Registry Dick Welsh says the tug wasn't subject to a safey inspection here:
