by isleofman.com 11th March 2013

A joint offer from the Sefton Group and Isle of Man Steam Packet Company, aimed at attracting short-break visitors to the Isle of Man, will continue for the next two months after proving a great success since being launched in September.

The holiday package offers visitors the opportunity to book a sea crossing with the Steam Packet Company and two nights’ bed and breakfast accommodation at the Best Western Palace Hotel and Casino, along with a three-course carvery meal in the hotel’s Paragon Restaurant on both evenings.

The spring offer, which starts on March 23 and runs until May 23 this year, will see the weekend cost from just ?125 per person.

The package was first launched last year and is being promoted through an advertising campaign in the Liverpool Echo and Liverpool Post.

Sefton Group Acting Marketing Manager Nicola Wilkinson commented: ‘We’ve been delighted with how popular this package has proved with visitors, and we were only too happy to extend its run as a spring short-break offer to give even more visitors the opportunity to take advantage. It’s an ideal partnership with the Steam Packet Company and it should help enhance the Island’s reputation as a leading short-break destination.’

Brian Convery, Sales Development Manager at Steam Packet Holidays, said: ‘Many people choose the Isle of Man as a short-break destination because of the variety of activities and events staged here throughout the year. The offer with the Sefton Group, which is fantastic value for money, is aimed at boosting the Island’s economy during the Island’s quieter periods, and so far it’s proving to be very successful.’
