by isleofman.com 12th March 2013

An inquest in Douglas is due to hear from mental health service staff today (12 March) after the care of a patient who took his own life was called into question by a mother yesterday.

Lynn Burrows says more could have been done to help her son Christopher who hanged himself in June 2011.

The 35-year-old Onchan man suffered from chronic fatigue syndrome which caused him to become depressed.

Mrs Burrows has told the inquest both she and her son were unhappy with the treatment provided at Grainagh Court day facility in the days prior to his death.

The inquest resumes at 10am at Douglas Courthouse.
