Barclays to sponsor Isle of Man Art Society Easter Exhibition 2013

Barclays Wealth and Investment Management has confirmed its sponsorship of the Isle of Man Art Society Easter Exhibition for the second year running.

The exhibition is to be held in the Villa Marina Arcade, Douglas from 28 March until 5 April, 10:00 – 17:00, except the last day where the opening hours are 10:00 – 13:00.  More than 100 artists are set to exhibit over 400 pieces of work, with each piece being exhibited for the first time.  

Newly appointed Director of Offshore and Local Markets at Barclays Wealth and Investment Management in the Isle of Man, Steve Clarke said: “Barclays was delighted to be involved with the Isle of Man Art Society Easter Exhibition in 2012 and we are looking forward with anticipation to the 2013 exhibition for what promises to be another highlight in the year for the Isle of Man’s art world.”

Isle of Man Art Society Chairman, Peter Hepworth: “We are very grateful to Barclays for the continuing support for 2013 and are very excited about the exhibition, which promises a wide range of art.”

The exhibition will feature works from complete beginners to experienced professionals using a variety of different forms including oil, watercolour,   pastel, ceramic, wood carvings, textiles and batik. Some of the local artists featured in the exhibition are Des Brookes, Peter Hepworth, Maureen Kennaugh and Bryony Harrison.
