Renowned actor seeks memories of Islanders

A BBC Radio 4 programme currently being made is set to explore the story of Italians who were interned in the Isle of Man during World War Two.

It features renowned British actor Tom Conti.

 

His father Alfonso was here for a few months in 1940/41, and was held in the Regency Hotel.

Tom's trying to find out more about his father's time here.

He told Manx Radio it's not the first time he's visited the Island:
