Guernsey follows Island's FATCA lead

One of the Channel Islands has announced it is to follow the Isle of Man's lead and has agreed in principle to sign tax agreements with the UK and USA.

Guernsey confirmed overnight it was looking to finalise the FATCA agreements, subject to approval by its parliament, the States.

Chief Minister Allan Bell feels this will be the start of many offshore jurisdictions doing similar, so it has come as no real surprise:
