Ramsey lifeboat called to aid of fishing boat

Ramsey lifeboat was called to the aid of a stricken fishing boat off the Island’s coast yesterday (Thurs)

The RNLB Ann and James Ritchie launched around midday after being alerted to the plight of the vessel in Ramsey Bay.

The Fraserburgh-registered vessel had suffered a failure in its steering gear.

The lifeboat took the boat into Ramsey Harbour under tow. Nobody was hurt during the incident.
