OFT highlights BEKO safety notices

Householders on the Isle of Man are being alerted to safety notices issued by appliance manufacturer BEKO.

The Office of Fair Trading says the company has issued three important safety notices concerning some of the products.

The goods involved are a BEKO 6kg and 7kg condenser tumble dryers manufactured between May 2012 and October 2012, frost-free freezers manufactured between January 2000 and October 2006 and BEKO, LEISURE & FLAVEL gas cookers manufactured prior to January 2009.

On their website the company says the products mentioned are part of existing product modification programs . . . and none of their other various appliances are affected.

Anyone who believes they have an affected model should ring the BEKO customer care line on 0800 917 2018 . . or you can email your model number and serial number to the company via their website . . . beko.co.uk . . . to check if it is affected.
