A spring clean and litter pick in Ramsey organised by Faith in Action for Mann has the support of Ramsey Town Commissioners, said Commissioners’ chairman Captain Nigel Malpass.
Sunday March 24th has been chosen as the day when teams of volunteers are set to target a number of litter ‘hot spots’ around the town.
Captain Malpass said: ‘The Commissioners applaud the efforts of Faith in Action to help rid the town of the blight of litter and encourage greater civic pride. With the Commission and Ramsey Chamber of Commerce involved this initiative is an example of partnership working at its most practical. Litter is a community problem that demands a community response.’
Faith in Action is looking for more volunteers to take part in the clean up. Contact Eddie O’Sullivan, 487768.
Working party members are asked to assemble in Station Road (Shoprite) car park at 2pm. Gloves, bin bags and litter pickers will be provided.
