Police appeal after picnic bench at Peel school damaged

Police are currently investigating damage caused to a picnic bench in the rear play ground of Peel Clothworkers School, Derby Road, Peel.
 
The damage has been caused to the large wooden picnic bench sometime between 6:30pm in Friday 15th and 1:00am on Saturday 16th March 2013.
 
The bench has had the end legs to two support stays snapped off it.  This amount of damage would of taken a considerable amount of force and has possibly been caused by a group of people.
 
The damage caused to the bench has left long screws protruding from the wood making it dangerous for the school children arriving at first thing on Monday morning.
 
Police ask anyone who has witnessed this incident or if anyone has any information which could lead to the identity of the offender please ring Peel Police Station on 842208 or Douglas Police Headquarters on 631212
