Employment body changes - have your say

Public sector workers in the Island whose terms and conditions may soon be overseen by a new employment body, are being urged to have their say about the plans. 

The government wants to form a Public Services Commission in place of the existing Civil Service Commission and Whitley Council.

It would mean a single employing authority for thousands of white collar and manual staff across government.

Whitley Council is the last negotiating forum for manual workers of its type in the British Isles.

Chair of the employees' side Jonty Arkell says it's a major turning point and he wants all those affected to take part in the public consultation:
