Jersey signs up to FATCA

by isleofman.com 20th March 2013

Jersey has become the latest crown dependency to sign up to FATCA.

The deal is consistent with the information exchange agreements the UK government recently struck with the Isle of Man - and then Guernsey - in a bid to combat tax evasion.

Supporters say the agreement reflects the island’s international reputation for high standards of regulation', although it’s also prompted concerns over the future attractiveness of Jersey as a financial centre.
