No serious problems for Island in UK budget

by isleofman.com 21st March 2013

The Treasury Minister says yesterday's UK budget hasn't given the Island any serious issues.

Eddie Teare was speaking following George Osborne's budget for an "aspiration nation" which included a raft of measures to kick-start growth and emphasis on measures to encourage jobs and small businesses.

The abolition of the proposed fuel duty increase and 1p rise in beer duty will reduce income to the Manx Treasury by around ?900,000

But Mr Teare says this isn't a major concern for the Island
