DASH - MHK tables public importance question

by isleofman.com 23rd March 2013

A North Douglas MHK is looking for reassurances over the future of the drug advice service and helpline.

DASH is facing an uncertain future, after its application to access the Seized Assets Fund was declined by Treasury.

Supporters and businesses are urging people to sign a petition asking Treasury to save the confidential 17 year-old service that helps drug users, their families and young people.

In the House of Keys on Tuesday, John Houghton has tabled a question of public importance and will ask the Chief Minister what immediate action can be taken to save the charity from closure.
