by isleofman.com 25th March 2013

Male vocal harmony group The Overtones will be performing live at the Villa Marina on Saturday 5th October to help raise funds for Junior Achievement Isle of Man.

With their potent mix of impeccable good looks, silky-smooth charm and a unique style that effortlessly combines the sound of vocal groups from yesteryear with the best of classic present-day British pop, this flawless five’s performance guarantees a great evening’s entertainment.

Originally formed in 2006 The Overtones became one of the biggest success stories of 2011. Mark Franks, Mike Crawshaw, Darren Everest, Timmy Matley and Lachie Chapman have seen their debut album ‘Good Ol’ Fashioned Love’ sell more than 400,000 copies with a peak chart position of number four.

In 2012 they performed in front of 250,000 people at the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee concert and released their second album ‘Higher’ in October that year.

Here’s what people are saying about them:

‘A night with The Overtones is a truly spectacular occasion…We haven’t had this much fun at a gig in ages and The Overtones proved tonight that they are one of the best live acts in the country.’ (Entertainment Focus)

‘You can’t manufacture talent such as this – it sings for itself.’ (Metro)

Don’t miss what promises to be a fantastic show. Tickets are on sale now. Visit www.villagaiety.com or call in to the Welcome Centre at the Sea Terminal.
