Police illustrate scale of snowfall

by isleofman.com 25th March 2013

Peel police say they’re still working hard to reach vulnerable people in the West affected by the heavy snowfall.

And on their Twitter feed, they’ve posted a graphic image of just how deep the snowdrifts are.

The picture, taken this lunchtime, shows Devil’s Elbow on the Kirk Michael to Peel coast road – with a police Land Rover illustrating the scale.

The drift is around 15 feet deep, and shows the difficulties facing those cut off by the weather.
