A Right Royal Rescue - or was it?

by isleofman.com 25th March 2013

RAF Valley has refused to confirm the Island had a Royal visitor yesterday (Sunday).

A rescue helicopter from the base in Anglesey helped the coastguard evacuate an elderly lady from heavy snow in Cronk-y-Voddy at 1pm.

Peel and Douglas coastguard set up a helicopter landing site and co-ordinated communication with the SeaKing aircraft from 22 Squadron.

Prince William is said to have been aboard – but the RAF says its standing policy is not to discuss the Prince’s deployments.
