Power may be restored to all by the end of the day

The MEA hopes it can restore power to all remaining customers by the end of the day.

This morning supplies have been restored to the Baldwins, Kilane Nurseries and Ellerslie.

Teams of engineers are continuing to work in the Curraghs, Dalby, and Abbeylands.

Speaking live on Mandate today, MEA Chief Executive Officer Phil King said the operation has been a huge one:
