A League

Motorvation (2) v Davrost (12)
Danni's Driving School (10) v Stone Art (5)

Danni's Driving School Still Pushing.

Danni's Driving School are still pushing Easy Gym for the top spot, after beating Stone Art 3 - 1. Dougie Jacobsson stood in for Flash Watterson at number 1 and did him proud but could not beat an in-form Lyndon Cheetham, losing out 3 - 1. Young Mason McLarney got Danni’s team off on the right road with an emphatic win over a very tricky player, Vicky Watterson, winning 3 – 0 while Rob Boyles had a fantastic battle against Stone Art’s Gary Corlett, managing to get his new racket off to a fine start by pipping him 3 – 2.

B League

Jewel Tech Squash Academy (15) v Island Exhaust Systems (6)
International Divers (20) v Outcasts (2)

Target Tools sponsored International Divers eased in to Easter with a 20-2 victory over Outcasts. Adam Corcoran dispatched Helen Cave in three straight games at number 5. Cave covered some good ground in what was an enjoyable match for both players. James Ramsey defeated Brian Cowley 3-2 at number 4. Ramsey looked out of sorts after his return from holiday and Cowley nearly took full advantage of this leading 2-1; however Ramsey managed to compose himself to take the final two games. Another Diver returning from his travels was John Whitehouse who defeated Aleyn Taggart 3-0. Taggart played some lovely squash once again, but John always had enough to make sure he was never put in too much trouble. In form Chris Moore continued his dominance in recent weeks beating Outcasts Stuart Highy in 3 straight games. Gary Corlett picked up a well-earned victory over Mark Henson at 1 only giving away 19 points in the process!

C League

(Bangers) Team New (8) v Jewel Tech Academy Tigers (16)
The Racketeers (9) v (Mash) New Team (14)

The near-world famous Racketeers latest C League campaign took another twist at the NSC last Tuesday. After a derby day victory over stable-mates the Racketeers Academy propelled Manx squash's loveable rogues up to a heady second place in the standings, the Racketeers were brought back down to earth with a bump by the delightfully named Mash in the pair's latest contest - the third tier's newest alumni triumphing 9-14 after a ding-dong battle. Mash got off to a tremendous start when Brian Cowley clipped with wings of the Racketeers' very own flying Finn Olli Heinikoski. The wily Cowley took the first two, before Heinikoski grabbed the third back only to lose the fourth and the match 1-3. Another titanic tussle unfolded at three where youth took on experience in the form of the Sidney Batty and Derek Tootill. The latter, who has almost been an ever-present for the Racketeers since a summer switch from last year's C League champions All About Gardens, avenged defeat by Mash's hot prospect in the pair's previous encounter winning in straight sets 3-0 to bring his side back into the contest. Remarkably, the Racketeers then nosed in front after a shock win for captain Andy Dalrymple over Mash's Beth Jones at number five. The former has struggled for any resemblance of form since taking over as skipper from the departed Barry Lawson, but somehow managed to muster the wherewithal to triumph 3-0 over Jones. While Dalrymple was taking a rare scalp, on the opposite court a battle royal raged between Racketeers' guest Nick Corlett and Mash's ever-improving Jess Dawe. Corlett looked to be on course to take a famous victory after moving into a 2-0 lead only for Dawe to hit back clinching the next three by the narrowest of margins to seal the tie and bring her team back into the fixture. With the match finely balanced a winner-takes-all contest between Paul Cantillon (Racketeers) and big-hitter Glenn Blacker (Mash) was teed up. The former International Divers captain showed no signs of the bends as he raced to a 5/15 win in the first. The spirited Cantillon tried his best to muster a riposte, but Blacker powered on taking the next two 8/15 and 13/15 to secure the overall honours for his new team. The Racketeers would like to dedicate the defeat to joint social secretary Graeme 'Geece' Cole who is currently recovering from a painful re-occurrence of the Skyfall knee injury that has hampered him throughout the current campaign.
