Snaefell Mountain Railway season delayed

by isleofman.com 26th March 2013
Due to the recent severe weather and ice, a number of overhead lines and pole arms have been brought down, resulting in a delay to the opening of the 2013 Snaefell Mountain Railway season.

The Mountain Railway will now start on Wednesday 1st May 2013 instead of the originally planned Wednesday 27th March.

The Easter Bunny, Cushag the Cat and Fairy Godmother will be handing out chocolate eggs at Laxey Tram Station this Easter Sunday, instead of at the summit. Heated, winter saloons will be used on the Manx Electric Railway, offering some great, wintery coastal views.

April's Pie in the Sky Astronomy event will be re-scheduled and for Sunset Dinner bookings, please email: summitcatering@gmail.com
