Easter Shoot festival hit by snow

by isleofman.com 28th March 2013

The Easter Shooting Festival cartridge pistol competitions have been cancelled due to last weekend's heavy snowfall.

The range at Sleiu Lhost on the Mountain Road near to Windy Corner has been buried under huge drifts.

The decision was made at the beginning of the week to allow competitors travelling to the Island to make alternative arrangements.

This weekend will see the 57th running of the Easter Shooting Festival.

The rifle events at the Sinclair Range and the air gun competitions at the Onchan Community Centre will go ahead as normal.
