MHK: 'Don't divide Onchan'

by isleofman.com 28th March 2013

Onchan MHK David Quirk is still unhappy with the latest proposals affecting his constituency put forward by the Boundary Review Committee.

They have been charged with the task of drawing up 12 areas for the House of Keys with a roughly equal population to be represented by two members each.

Following representations, Birch Hill is to be retained in Onchan but Howstrake, including Lakeside Gardens will move to the East constituency.

David Quirk says his motive is keeping Onchan as a community rather than political self-interest:-
