Lack of bank facilities for tourists will be examined says Minister

Economic Development Minister John Shimmin says banks not changing foreign currency is a poor service for tourists arriving on the Island.

The issue was brought up on Manx Radio’s Present Politics programme by a listener who’d had trouble changing money for visitors.

Mr Shimmin said at a time when the Island’s tourism industry needs to be as attractive as possible, the situation was a problem.

And he said it would be something looked at in the future:
