Police want to reunite batteries with owners

Police are asking for information on what appears to be the theft of a large number of car batteries.

On Sunday officers discovered 24 used car batteries which they believe were stolen.

Any business which deals in used batteries is asked to check their premises to see if any are missing.

If you have any information about the batteries you can ring Detective Sergeant Paul Holland at police headquarters on 631212.
