Peel fundraiser to support farmers

A fundraising event in the West this week will give people the chance to show their support for the Island’s farmers.

Many of them have been hit hard after losing livestock in the heavy snow ten days ago

The Highwayman pub in Peel will host the event starting at 7.30pm on Friday to raise cash for the Agricultural Benevolent Fund.

Organiser Suzette Marshall says she wants to help farmers who’ve lost livestock in the recent big freeze.

She explains how the idea came about:
