Dental practice for Ramsey Cottage Hospital

A fresh attempt's being made to solve the shortage of NHS dentists in the Island.

The Department of Health is looking for a dental practice to run clinics from a fully-fitted surgery at Ramsey Cottage Hospital.

It's an opportunity for a new provider to start a practice in the north of the Island without major start-up costs.

The aim is to free-up existing NHS dentists based at the hospital to help reduce waiting lists elsewhere.

Expressions of interest are being invited to run the operation with an NHS patient list.

Recruiting NHS dentists has proved difficult in the past so health minister David Anderson hopes this opportunity will prove more attractive:
