Appeal after dog attacked

by isleofman.com 4th April 2013
Officers from the Southern Neighbourhood Policing Team are investigating a matter whereby a Dalmatian dog was set upon by two greyhound/lurcher type dogs in a field near to the Witches Mill/Castle Rushen High School Fields area at 6pm on Monday 11th March 2013.

The Dalmatian received injuries from this attack which required treatment and caused great upset to the owner.

The other dogs are described as being one black and white greyhound with a thick green collar and the other a long haired cream coloured Lurcher.  The owner of the dogs is described as being a male with white hair and beard and wearing a boiler suit.

After making enquires we now ask the public to assist us in locating the owner of the dogs so that advice can be given about this matter and to prevent any future issues if required.  Owners are again urged to ensure that their dogs are under proper control when in a public area at all times.
