Survey to find out why locals use off-island services

A survey's been launched to find out why Island businesses lose out to UK and European competition.

It's the brainchild of Action Mann, an organisation formed by the Isle of Man LinkedIn group to support local firms and traders.

The online survey will be carried out by Research Offshore, with a detailed questionnaire distributed via social media and e mail.

It aims to find out what factors influence residents and businesses to buy good and services from off-Island providers.

Steve Burrows, director of several IT firms in the Island, set-up the LinkedIn group five years ago.

He says there's scope for Island firms to do more business with each other:
