Trust praises public generosity

by isleofman.com 8th April 2013

The generosity of the Manx community has provided a huge morale boost for farmers following the recent heavy snow in which hundreds of livestock perished.

That's according to the Isle of Man Agricultural Benevolent Trust which has again thanked members of the public who have helped raise funds.

Directors of the Trust, which was set up 18 years ago, say they have been able to help out in several urgent cases of personal welfare.

Chairman Graham Crowe says the recent extreme weather has brought the Trust a much higher profile.

He believes help could well be needed by the hardest hit for months to come.
