Body found in burning car

Police have confirmed a man’s body was found in a burning car at the Point of Ayre last night (Tuesday).

They were called out shortly before 8pm after a member of the public saw the vehicle on fire on the Cranstal Road in Bride near to the Lighthouse.

Fire crews extinguished the fire before police attended and discovered the body.

They are treating the death as ‘unexplained’ and are keen to hear from people who were in the area at the time.
