Cost of living major issue, says Keys candidate

The first candidate to declare for next month’s House of Keys by-election says it’s emphatically clear where the majority of constituents’ concerns lie.

Financial analyst Chris Thomas will stand in West Douglas when it goes to the polls on May 23 to fill the vacancy caused by Geoff Corkish’s elevation to the Legislative Council.

Mr Thomas has no doubts what matters to potential voters (play audio clip)

Nominations close on Tuesday, April 23.

Mr Thomas and taxi driver Martin Moore are the only two candidates to have declared so far.
