Death at Point of Ayre not thought to be suspicious

Police officers from the CID department are continuing to work with forensic scientists, pathologist and fire investigation in order to establish the cause of the fire.
 
Inspector Juan Kinley says “There is nothing at this time to indicate that this is suspicious but we are keeping an open mind as to the cause of the fire.  Due to the nature of the incident we have not been in a position to make a formal identification at this stage.
 
I would further appeal to anyone who may have been in the area of Bride, Cranstal Road and the Point of Ayre between 5pm and around 8pm on Tuesday 9th April to contact the Police.  I would like to thank all the members of the public who have already contacted us with information”
