Tough times ahead warns Law Society president

The President of Isle of Man Law Society has warned legal practices they face tough choices to stay profitable.

Kevin O'Riordan who was elected to the figurehead position earlier this year, says the profession is facing a downturn in the current climate like many other sectors.

Mr O'Riordan predicts the economic squeeze will reduce the number of clients seeking legal advice, forcing local firms to make savings and potentially, drive down charges.

He warns it's going to become more difficult to provide current levels of service on reduced budgets:
