Govt committed to Disability Discrimination Act, insists minister

The Social Care Minister says there is a genuine commitment to implement disability discrimination legislation in the Isle of Man.

In Tynwald next week, Liberal Vannin MHK Kate Beecroft will call for the Disability Discrimination Act to be brought into force as soon as possible.

It’s still not been implemented, seven years after receiving royal assent.

But Chris Robertshaw has dismissed suggestions the legislation is gathering dust:
