B League

Bespoke Recruitment (6) v Jewel Tech Squash Academy (19)

Bespoke Recruitment took on a very strong Jewel Tech Juniors at Mount Murray.  Patrick Fitzpatrick started very well against Sean Callow at 1 taking the first 2 games with relative ease.  Callow managed to regroup and showed true determination by taking the next 2.  Sadly, all of that hard work had taken its toll on Callow and Fitzpatrick ran out a 3-2 winner.  Jon Morley took on a talented Dewald Joubert at 2.  Morley put everything he could in to the match and was moving around the court well; however Joubert’s athleticism and accurate drop shots were the difference enabling him to run out a 3-0 win.   Mark Hotchkiss took on Gordon Beresford at 3. Beresford was on top form and was consistently playing excellent length shots and ran out with a 3-0 win.  Mark Stratford and Toby Woolard had the game of the evening with a very close 5 setter.  Both players were evenly matched however Stratford’s slight of hand and accurate cross court drop shots enabled him to eek out the win for Bespoke.  Bringing up the rear was Dean Sowerby against Carl Albrigt, who was returning after hand surgery.  Sowerby played really well, but was always going to be up against it with Albrigt.  Sowerby took a game however Albrigt then closed the show as he ran out a 3-1 winner. Bespoke Recruitment would like to thank the Jewel Tech Junior team - a great night was had by all.

Outcasts (1) v International Divers (20)

The scoreline sums it up - Mark Henson found top form up against Gary Corlett and made him work for his win. This was an excellent close game with Corlett getting ahead when it counted. The rest of the Outcasts worked hard but were unable to notch up a game win.

Points penalties have been applied where unregistered players have been used.
