by isleofman.com 20th April 2013

Castletown all but secured their Premier League status with a fine 2-0 victory at Corinthians on Saturday evening.

Battling Gymns still harbour hopes of survival in the Canada Life Premier League, despite going down to a second defeat in 48 hours.

After being edged out by Peel in a seven goal thriller on Thursday night, the Tromode club were beaten 6-3 at second placed Laxey.

Mark Wolfenden was the star of the show with a four goal haul for the Miners whose others were grabbed by Neil Brogan and Nigel Beattie.

Gymns remain in the drop zone with a crucial game against Ramsey, the team directly above them, set for next weekend.
