Agent wants to hear from first-time buyers

by isleofman.com 21st April 2013

First-time buyers in the Island struggling to raise a mortgage deposit are being urged to share their stories as part of a UK campaign aimed at lenders.

Average deposits in the UK last month hit ?25,000 or 20 per cent of average house prices.

That's a situation online estate agent Emoove.co.uk says is scandalous - as it would take anyone on normal earnings many years to save up for.

The firm's MaxTen campaign aims to limit deposits to 10 per cent for new buyers.

Case studies from the Isle of Man are wanted for a huge petition to be posted on the Downing Street website.
