St. George's Day parade in Onchan

by isleofman.com 21st April 2013

Scouts, beavers, cubs and explorers will parade through Onchan today (Sunday).

The annual St. George's Day event is the only time all the Island's Scout Movement come together.

The parade is followed by a service at Onchan Park, which is being attended by Lieutenant Governor Adam Wood.

Group leader for Second Onchan Scout Group, Julian Ashcroft, says it's an important day for all those involved in scouting:

The parade will start from the village community centre at 2.15pm.
