Gumbley leads locals home in Marathon

Thirty-five locals finished in the London Marathon yesterday (Sunday).

Ed Gumbley was the quickest in a time of two hours, 37 minutes and 44 seconds – that secured 130th position overall.

Mike Garrett 2.50.06 and Tim Knott 2.50.34 weren’t far behind, while Rebecca Wallace was the quickest local woman in a time of 3.01.16 – the 59th quickest woman in the event.

Ed admitted he wasn’t sure he'd be able to compete in the event this time last week.
