Road closures tomorrow due to Governors Sprint

by isleofman.com 24th April 2013
To accommodate the Governors Sprint event, Glencrutchery Road, from the Grandstand to Governors Bridge, and Bemahague Road, from Governors Bridge to West Drive, will be closed to traffic between 12:00 and 15:00 and from 18:00 and 21:30 on Thursday 25th April.  Access will not be possible from Victoria Road to Governors Road and so traffic heading to Onchan and the North will need to divert via the Promenade.

The existing diversion route using Greenfield Road to access Willaston, which is currently in place whilst the reconstruction works to Ballanard Road take place, will not be available during the event. The alternative route will be via Bray Hill and Tromode Road.  Diversion signage will be in place.   In order to minimise delays at the junction of Tromode Road with Ballafletcher Road, temporary traffic signals will be installed at this location.

The organisers, Manx Motor Racing Club, apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.

The Department advises drivers to allow more time or adjust their travel plans accordingly.
