Issue of a Prior Information Notice Regarding the Provision of Home Care

by isleofman.com 25th April 2013
In February 2012 the Department announced its intention to rebalance Adult Social Care Services with a view to developing a more community based focus for the services it commissions and provides. This work has been progressing through the last year and the Department is now considering how best to provide Home Care with the flexibility to meet increasing demand and the changing nature of that demand.

To aid this process the Department is issuing a Prior Information Notice so that all interested parties can gain an insight into what is required to deliver this service and give them the opportunity to further explore our requirements. The Prior Information Notice is not an invitation to tender or offer an expression an interest but it is an opportunity to set out preliminary ideas with us or gain a greater understanding.

Minister of Social Care Hon Chris Robertshaw MHK said:

“My Department is looking at all options available to deliver the best quality service possible and meet future demands.  This Prior Information Notice provides a chance to see how Home Care could be delivered in the future and we look forward to hearing from as many organisations as possible”.
