The government found itself under fire from the public last night over its decision to bail out the Sefton Group.
Members of the public at the latest “Roamin’ Comin” meeting criticised the ?4.5 million land and loan deal.
Chief Minister Allan Bell defended the decision, saying the choice was to let the group fail with the loss of 300 hospitality and construction jobs.
And he dismissed some of the criticisms he’s faced since the intervention was announced:
