The following statement was released by Appleby on behalf of its client, Island Contract Management:
Island Contract Management Limited is aware of reports in the media suggesting that it “is facing a bill of almost ?43 million from the UK’s taxman”. This is incorrect. The judgment in question was against Island Contract Management (UK) Limited, a company incorporated in England and not against Island Contract Management Limited, which is a company incorporated in the Isle of Man.
No further comment will be made at this time.
