Snaefell Mountain Railway open on 4th May

The Department of Community, Culture and Leisure is pleased to announce that the Snaefell Mountain Railway will start its 2013 service on Saturday 4th May.
 
The Department has been working hard in very challenging conditions and is now confident that services will resume on 4th May.
 
Departures from Laxey are every half hour from 10:15 to 15:45, stopping at the bungalow on the way. Laxey is accessible by the Manx Electric Railway and a full fare adult return journey from Douglas or Ramsey to the summit will cost the same as last year, just ?12; ?6 if you have a Rail Card and free with a Residents’ Ticket.
 
The popular Summit Dining Experiences will also be available this year. Sunset Dinners, Seven Kingdom Lunches and Pie in the Sky tickets are all available to purchase direct from the summit on 01624 673631 from the 4th May.
